Now Hear This...
Most people who are not reasonably attached in some way to the audio industry still call public address systems “Tannoy” systems. This is a throw back from the war years and from the days of the holiday camps where “Tannoy” systems featuring the famous fog horn style speaker was synonymous with calling to order or rousing the campers.
It is now accepted as colloquial English for meaning public address and as such is used a as a generic term.
All that said; here at Inter Audio we specialise in “Tannoy” systems, public address systems, sound systems, call it what you will. The most important aspect of any sound system is intelligibility and a design that is fit for use. Speakers that provide clarity of speech are in many cases not the ideal choice if you wish to entertain the factory with music.
The sound pressure level to provide clarity and coverage is important, speaker positioning, and system design is paramount in achieving exceptional results, whilst not over-engineering the system.
At Inter Audio, we pride ourselves on making your “Tannoy” system work for you by producing high quality results at competitive prices.
So if it is Radio 2 for the factory or public address for the hotel, even call order to the kitchen, Inter Audio can offer a solution and offer it fast.
